- Alternate parking lot for Jökulsárlón
Across the river to the west is another area where you can park for free. For those who would like to explore the beach and the lagoon, it’s an excellent choice, situated approximately 1.4km away from Diamond Beach.
By Public Bus
Bus 51 travels to Jökulsárlón from Reykjavik via Höfn. To reach the beach, cross the street and walk down. Straetó’s website has timetables that you can check. Remember that throughout the winter, there won’t be as many buses.
